Looking Back...My First...

I'm sure you're wondering by the title above what I'm going to be writing about, but I'm going to turn the clock back to let's say 8 years ago when I found out I was pregnant with my first child.
My current boyfriend at the time and I were NOT expecting to have any kids right away. (I mean no one really does anyway...At least, I think so!) Anyhow, we were both scared and excited because this meant a whole new chapter in our lives. As for me primarily I was beyond scared. I had no family here, the only family I had were my boyfriends and they were beyond welcoming and accepting.
But turning the clock forward to May 16th, 2009 at 5:45 P.M. We welcomed a handsome 8lbs 12oz little chunk. He was my pride and joy and I was completely in love with this little guy.

Once we brought him home I knew that life would no longer be the same for our little family. I was not prepared for the numerous sleepless nights I had ahead of me, but looking at his beautiful face and little tiny smiles I knew every last bit of it was worth it.

Fast Forward... 

He's now 8 years old and I can't believe how much he's grown. He's such an intelligent little guy who has so much potential in life. His love or should I say obsession for technology astounds me. With how fast technology is constantly changing, I'm sure later on down the road he'll be the one schooling me on how to do certain things, but we'll see...
Unfortunately, things don't always go the way you want them to and life ends up handing you a curve ball. My boyfriend at the time and I had our differences and had to go our separate ways. I ended up going back to my hometown in Seattle, but I'll get to that in another post!
